A letter to the grandparents...

Dear Grandparents of our little Thambi...

It is my unique pleasure to inform you that your kutti peran (grandson) finally accomplished in full measure, his rollover. The said miracle happened around a week ago, when he reached the juncture of 6 and a 1/2 months.

I don't know what came over him one fine day. Perhaps he figured that enough is enough, and no more of that high-flex, bow-flex arching stuff, when I can just lift my heavy head and allow the rest of my body to topple over.

I know you shall delight in this bit if news, long awaited though it was. For your added pleasure, I was vigilant enough to capture him in the said act, so you can keenly notice every aspect of the beautiful technique which took months to master and perfect. I am now leaving you with those, and the happy promise of all that this new skill heralds in his life...

With love and respects....

His proud as a peacock mother.

P.S. - I hope you will do me the honour of leaving your congratulations and best wishes in my little comment space. :)

Congratulations Sathya!

Now you can start exploring the house on your own without anybody's help and rearrange things to your satisfaction. I do remember your elder brother doing that in my house in Bahrain and your Hema Patti was going gaga over this.

To Winkie: Now your responsibility has doubled as you have to take care of your Thambi's movements and see that he is safe.

Anamika : Err...not quite yet, I hope. Right now all he does is munch happily on the carpet fibres from that position. The surveillance starts when he starts crawling. Then like everyone else here gleefully pointed out....I have to watch out!!
