Trimmed!

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon, and he was splashing around in the bath. His wild locks bounced atop his head, as he thumped the water with his hands. Wild giggles erupted and filled the air. And an impulsive thought entered my head. And before I even had a chance to acknowledge it, out came the scissors and the resolve. I wet his head with water, and he turned around, surprised. And thinking it was yet another game, he turned this way and that, looked up and looked down, in tune with my instructions. All was smooth, until the little black locks of hair, their curls still intact, started to fall around him. And when he saw the dutty stuff, he lost it, and stopped only when everything got cleaned up, and I had him washed. And thus, once again, a whole new trimmed version of a little boy emerges from that little head of curls. It makes the impishness a lot more prominent now, though one wouldn't be able to judge that from these pictures, where the very reverse seems to be in effect!
